too much candy gonna rot your soul - crau3 pcs: dan(te)
[ well todomatsu is not going to offer to give dante a tour so they will just have to spontaneously encounter each other somewhere, and that somewhere will be the academy in pharros. at the moment, he's peeking into the crystal room and eyeing the floor. ]
Still haven't cleaned up the teeth...

I think they add a nice touch.
I'm guessing you've been here, then?

Yep. Threw a party in here the one week we had access to the place.
...In the dining hall I mean, not the tooth room.

And here I almost got excited for a party that ended with scattered tooth confetti.
What is the tooth room, anyway?

I guess it's technically the crystal room, but I don't really know what that's about either. It's just got really weird vibes, and if you stay in there for too long you start wanting to eat the crystals for some reason? So. The tooth bits are presumably from people who gave in to that urge.
Huh.
Did you eat any?
Did you eat any?
No, I did not... but I can't say it didn't cross my mind either, so. Don't recommend staying in there for long.
[ yeah...those crystals are starting to look mighty chompable right about now... ]
Where do you recommend staying, then?

Well, it's a school, so there's a library and a bunch of classrooms and stuff. Or you can explore outside in the woods and the ruins, if you're into that kind of thing.
A school with weird crystals and ruins, huh? Well, at least it isn't boring.
Mm, this was one of the better places we had. [ even with the giant spider guts and the vengeful magic blood tree that hated them. ] Aside from the end when everything went crazy, we only had access to any of the places outside the village for a week at a time, and then they'd disappear and get replaced by something else the following week.
We took a bunch of books from the library here back to the village so we'd still have some after this place was gone.

You could only access one other area at a time?
...I guess that would make solving murders easier, at least.

Yeah, I guess. Really sucked the other 6 days of the week, though.
[ finally properly exploring terminal 5 after that crazy ass monday and pausing to look at the hot air balloons. ]
...Okay, someone's almost definitely going to die on one of those things.

Word of advice, don't plan murder within earshot of somebody.
Like you weren't already thinking the same thing.
It is admittedly hard not to think about it after we just saw four people fall out of a plane.
Yeah, that sure did happen...
Ugh. Yesterday really feels like a fever dream.
[ mostly the bad kind?? ]

Like today doesn't?
Uh, not to anywhere near the same extent, no. Stupid curses happen every week; three dead people just suddenly being alive without explanation does not.
[ also this has to be prior to the booth happening or else his mood would have been sooo aggressively worse in the starter lmao ]

Except for the part where there's definitely explanation.
Meanwhile, the curses are as unhinged as ever.

Well, I haven't heard any reliable ones yet.
Okay.

You ever ridden in one of these things?

Probably...? I don't remember offhand.
You have that exciting of a life, huh.
That's a way of putting it, I guess.
[ he's also technically like 70 ]

How would you put it?
There's either a bunch of crazy shit happening or there's nothing at all happening. It's pretty much always 0 or 100 with no in between.
Ah, so you were well-equipped for these "games."
...no that's a lie, it's always 100 here. Just different kinds of 100.

No, I am pretty well-equipped for this, actually. Especially this one.
Doesn't make it any less annoying, though.

Why especially this one?
The way the whole thing's a reality TV show or whatever with an emphasis on callbacks. I'm an actor in a variety comedy show that does a lot of that.
...huh. All the way down to the callback thing?
Oh, yeah, we have a bunch of running gags and repeated sketch concepts that get put in mostly so that longtime viewers can enjoy the reference.
Like, we had this "calming detective" character in one episode early in the run, and then five years later we brought him back as a surprise twist in the middle of a sketch. That used the same mansion for the setting, if you were paying enough attention and somehow still remembered what that place had looked like.
