Technically, it doesn't. I think they're just being clever with their phrasing. We're being 'eliminated from the competition', and 'removed from the running' because we don't have the minimum number for one of the prizes. That's a sly as hell way to work in a team wipe situation without having to say "don't let teams drop below four or you're on the chopping block."
