I guess they were in the blanket I was sleeping under??
[ which is SO GROSS!!!!! ]
I mean, they sure as hell weren't there when I first took it out of the crate and checked it during the day, but it was really dark when I went to sleep, so maybe they could have already been on it then without me noticing if they were on the other side...
[ he trusts no one so he's like OR SOMEONE PUT THEM ON ME SPECIFICALLY WHEN I WAS ASLEEP!!! except he only ended up here because of a bad dice roll so he is wrong ]
[ He says Karma's name with mild distaste. He says Geto's name with outright vitriol, for the record. ]
Given he threw a rather large worm in my face upon our first meeting and claimed it to be an "accident", it doesn't seem like behaviour that would be above him.
[ He scoffs, just. Very clearly ruffled by the mention of Geto's existence and all. ]
Anyway. It seems to be a repeating problem so I definitely recommend not touching anything that looks suspicious, and checking all clothes, blankets, doorways and the like before entering.
It's unnecessary stress, but caution is preferable to someone finally getting an infection or parasite off of these things.
[ nods.......... though even if he checks everything before he goes to sleep, it's not going to do much good if karma just fucks with his shit when he's not awake like he's now assuming happened this time. ]
Ugh. I wish I could banish him from clown purgatory but I don't want to deal with him also being vengeful on top of everything else.
Yeah, and kind of not great that we're already dealing with that... what, four days into a two month stay?
[ it took wayyyy longer than that for everyone to go crazy and turn on each other that time they got stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash... ]
[ Someone already told him they're from 2205 and there's others who are from entirely different planets. Todomatsu could say anything and he'd just be like ok... fine... at this point. ]
[ damn he won't be born for another ten years... ]
Okay, well... toward the end of the century, they came out with these cell phones that transmitted by waves in the air or something instead of using lines, so they didn't have cords and you could take them with you anywhere. Then in the 2000s they came out with smartphones, which basically also work as a computer... and camera and music player and video game system. Like, pretty much anything involving communication or media.

looks at daan, then back down at his phone, which is on its last sliver of battery life in low power mode. ]
...Yeah. Alfyn-san was there, and he knows about that kind of stuff.

That makes sense. Go figure, having multiple people knowing these things really did come in handy so soon...
Were you attacked by them being hidden somewhere?
[ Aka not in the swamp or river where they rightfully should remain. ]

[ So to speak. ]
I wouldn't put it past certain people to have done this on purpose.

...But wait, so something like this happened to someone else?

Miss Marina and some others opened it only to, you know.
[ Leech rain. ]

Taking the book off the premises eventually results in auditory hallucinations and a compulsion to return it to its original place.
I learned this the first day, and told multiple people this and advised against interacting with the book any further...
[ But then you know. Bookgate kept happening. ]

Well, I'm glad it's not just me making things up out of spite, I guess.
Geto-kun too, though, huh?
[ man japan's reputation is gonna be in the toilet here ]

We've all already got enough on our plates without internal strife, especially the petty kind.

[ He points at the phone. ]
What're you looking at?

[ yeah he wishes karma would just drop dead on his own without anyone having to feel bad about killing a middle schooler

Oh... you don't have phones either, huh?

They're not a small tablet of... metal?
[ What kind of phone does he even have. ]
no subject
Oh, so just the regular old landline ones, then?
[ you are one of the first people who's asked about his phone who's had any conception of what telephones are at all. ]
What year is it for you?
